Which Fruit Are You Releasing?

As I write books, I often compare humans to trees. The Bible refers to it many times about us bearing fruit for Him, etc. So, when I wrote the two Twin Books…the Lord revealed about the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. The Tree of Knowledge represents the battle we have with SELF. Flesh. The Tree of Life is the Fruit of the Spirit…love, joy, peace, gentleness, etc. When we make decisions by eating off of the wrong tree, we affect others by this choice to eat this fruit. It not only kills you inside and dries up the river, but it causes the other ones who were eating your fruit to be forced to choose to continue eating your fruit as they watch it dry up.
As ministers, we must keep the rivers flowing and keep our FRUIT FRESH. We must not eat our own fruit. This can be done by selfishness (I want a word, feed me preachers, feed me) or only fill ourselves and not ever give the fruit away or supply it for God’s use to others. We can also dry up our fruits by not keeping our tree connected to the vine and allowing the rivers to flow to keep our tree ALIVE IN HIM. So, as ministers, we are either supplying our congregations or people we’re nurturing either bad fruit or good fruit.
How do you know if your life is producing good fruit or bad fruit? Well, ask yourself this. Which tree are you feeding off of? If it’s the Tree of Life…it’s LIGHT, GOODNESS, MEEKNESS, GENTLENESS, LOVE, SELF-CONTROL, etc. If it’s the other BAD tree, it’s about SELF.
If it’s about your flesh..you WILL HURT OTHERS. You’re not giving it away like God means for you to do. People that are connected to you if they stay attached to you will receive the type of fruit that you are producing. This is why it’s so important for ministers to stay attached to the Tree of Life and to surround themselves with an inner circle that can keep watch and guard around us. They help us to see through deceit and lies from the enemy.
As I’ve served churches over the years, I’ve discovered that congregations have the spirit of the pastor. Which character of the fruit that pastor reflects is mainly how the congregation will end up reflecting. If a pastor dabbles in sexual sin, the congregation will end up reflecting that sin because it comes from the head down. If a pastor has a heart for outreach, the church congregants have the same heart. If the pastor is passionate and a fireball, same thing.
